Dear Friends, Acquaintances, Colleagues & Collectors

I’m pleased to invite you to my solo exhibition at BAU Gallery, opening October 9 and running through November 8. Spanning five decades of my art making, this exhibition traces the emotional arc of my work and where it’s now headed, asking how we can give form to inner experience as language melts under the onslaught of digital noise.

In addition to the Opening Reception on Saturday, October 10, from 6–8 pm, two special events are scheduled:

Memoir Bites — Sunday, October 25, 2–4 pm, followed by a brief reception.

Sitting in a circle with guests, I’ll read two or three short pieces before inviting audience participation. Several people already plan to participate, and we welcome a multitude of voices and stories. Please keep your contributions brief—three to four minutes is ideal. In my experience, sharing memoir brings us closer and deepens mutual understanding. What could be better in these difficult times?

Identity, Continuity & Change: Three Artists in Conversation — Sunday, November 8, 3–5 pm, followed by a closing reception.

Join me and my two colleagues, Síle Marrinan and Linda Lauro-Lazin, for a conversation moderated by George Kimmerling.

BAU Gallery is open Fridays, 4–7 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays, 12–6 pm. If those hours don’t work for you, text or give me a call at (845) 235-9500, and I’ll arrange to meet you there and open the gallery for you.
